Problem with starting the OEM Mgt Server Service on windows 2000

    hi,
I am having problems starting the management server service.
I am on win2000 professional and using 8.1.7
When i start the mgt server service, it throws me the error

"Could not start the mgt server serivce on local computer.
The service did not return an error. This could be an internal
windows error or an internal service error. Contact sys admin"

oms.nohup says ,The service has terminated abnormally.

can somebody help me; I tried to reinstall OEM and re-rcreate
the repository, but with no sucess.

    Hi there,
Has it ever worked? If yes, then has the repository moved server, changed the port the listener is running on, had the repository users password changed or expired. A belts and braces question is - is the repository up?

If it has never worked, then have you configured the management server with EMCA (Enterprise Manager Config. Assistant) and installed a repository into a database ?

The only times I have had problems with the OMS starting was when someone changed the listener port, and the config in EMCA needed changing, or if someone took down the repository database while the OMS was up and running.
