    Oracle 8 Tuning

    Hi All,

I have around 25 databases on my HP Unix Box.These databases are running on Oracle 8.0.5.I need to start looking at the performance aspects of these databases. Can someone please tell me what areas do I concentrate on?

    TIA

wow, thats a lot of databases. Each with their own SGA.

Might want to look at having one database and 25 schemas.

Then look at your code and tune it

    Oracle 8 Tuning

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply.Yes each Database has its own SGA.Its a business policy to go in for seperate databases.
Is there any way in Unix to find out which DB is consuming the max resources so that I can get into that particular DB and start looking at it?

    TIA

    Mike
