I don't know about you error but I installed it one week ago ( same version/ same platform than you) and I got it to work.
The following link has really, really helped me :

hi
INFACT I USED THAT SITE FOR INSTALL. the install went fine , but when it comes to netca and dbca config, it says in progress for a long time nd then when i stop it basically cancels and even the dbca doesnt get configured.
my issue is, i don see a tnsnames.ora file in the network admin directory.
can i configure those manually (listener and tnsnames.ora)...
please advice. if yes, can you point me to a link or web or doc?
tnx in advance.
