I told you: give the write privileges to the user trying to write to that log directory. With CHMOD.

Well, you seem not to react to what I am telling you. And Pando is right, why don't you get someone locally to fix that for you?

As Julian/Pando have said have you tried starting the listener as a user in the dba group, is the message the same? does the error still occur?
