    ora-01575

    GURU's
    I am getting following error in alert log

    ORA-01575: timeout waiting for space management resource

    I just restarted the database it has goen away but I am not able to run any .sql files also I am, able to run query from sqlplus.

    THIS IS ONE OF OUR PRODUCTION SERVER

    Please help me


    I am using oracle 8.1.7.0 on sun spark...

    1.Check out usage of Temporary Tablespace.
    All the used temp segments have been cleared or not. If not check out parameter pctincrease value of the temporary tablespace.Check if the Temporary tablespace is temporary of not ?

    Try this

    Give the below parameter in your ini file
    and start the db again

    event = "10269 trace name context forever, level 1"
