    Cleaning up the RBS tablespace

    Hi ,

    My RBS tablespace in keep on growing right now its taking 2 GB of storage space. Oracle version is 8.1.7 and os is windows 2000. Can any body please let me know how to cleaning the RBS tablespace.

    How many an of what size rollback segments do you have?
    How they are configured?

    Or do you have any other objects in your RBS tablespace?

    There are aroung 19 roll back segments and the size of each rollback segment is around 50-60 mb. No other user objects are there in RBS tablespace.

    If you simply want to reclaim space you could try shrinking each segment or simply drop and recreate the segments. However if the throughput of your system requires 2GB of space (as it clear did) then what do you hope to acheive by making these changes?
