Some words of wisdom as you get older....
.. When you are dissatisfied and would like to go back to youth, think of Algebra.
.. One must wait until evening to see how splendid the day has been.
.. Being young is beautiful, but being old is comfortable

Hi guys,
It's been great receiving wishes from e-colleagues I've never met. Thanks to you all.
Jim,
I loved Algebra! In fact one of my retirement projects is to carry on with Abstract Algebra from where I gave up at college!
Old is beautiful too. (Well I think it is, I've not really tried it yet.) I had a neighbour, born in 1899, but did not make it to the current century. She always had a half-bottle of champagne in the fridge because "you never know when you may have something to celebrate".
Keep on celebrating
