    Question Oracle Client License

    Hi,

Does anyone know whether the license of Oracle Client and SQL*Plus for Windows need separate licenses to install? Or are they just bundled with Oracle Server? Thanks!

    Regards,

So does RAC, Partitioning, and OEM Management packs, but they cost extra $$. I would contact your Oracle Sales weenie to get the details.

    patel_dil,

I know they are bundled with Oracle server. But I just wonder if Oracle Client and SQL*Plus need extra $$ to use like RAC, partitioning etc mentioned by marist89. Thanks!

    Hi stmontgo,

I just want to clarify that my concern is on Oracle client and SQL*Plus only but not other product/option. Do you have any idea? Thanks!

You can install Oracle Client all over the place.
But if you have licensed Oracle Server per seat, not more than number of paid seats are allowed to connect to server.

    Caypang,
You dont need any extra $$( call it a license) to install sql*plus. Your only limitations would be, Like Tomazz and stmongo mentioned, You may want to check your license agreement to see how many connections you make to your Oracle server.

    Thanks
