    7.3.4 on W2K?

    Hi Friends,

Can someone please help an old friend of mine please?

I need some advice quite quickly and I thought u might be able to point
    me
    in the right direction

Basically we have a Windows NT server with a 7.3.4 database, we need to
upgrade this server to Windows 2000, the big question is will 7.3.4
    still
    work on Windows 2000.

I am planning to migrate this database to 8.1.7 in the future but I
    haven't
got the time to do it and the Windows 2000 upgrade needs to be ASAP.

    cheers

    Much Appreciated!

7.3.4 is not supported on W2K. The lowest supported version is 8.1.5. This information is available on MetaLink. Why don't you steer your friend into using supported server versions/platforms?

I don't think it is a supported configuration, 7.3.4 on Win2000. NT v4 is as far as 7.3.4 goes. In fact, 7.3.4 is on lifesupport also -- it's Extended Support only.

Forget about support for the moment folks - has anyone out there done it?

    Is it possible?

    Will it still function properly?
