Oracle Agent, no. of processes
All,
Scoured the oracle documentation and can someone answer me this:
In 8i, on unix, the oracle agent has two processes, both named dbsnmp.
Fine, no dispute there. What does (or should) oracle 9i have?
In my experience its dbsnmp and dbsnmpwd (and very occasionally dbsnmpj).
I have an agent that is consistently spawing a second dbsnmp process. Which means I have two dbsnmp processes and one dbsnmpwd process. Surely not right? Doing a ps -ef|grep dbsnmp, it clearly shows the second dbsnmp process has been spawned by the original dbsnmp process.
Any thoughts?
