    which log file to look into ?

    hello all..
    Oracle 9.2/ Sun 5.8

    i need to find out when was the last time i brought down the database. I need to bring it back up now, and i need the data when i brought it down.

    how do i see it and where ?..

    The Alert log will show when the database was stopped and started.
