    JD Edwards

    Hi friends.

    Objective opinions only please..

We may be rolling out JD Edwards servicing over 2500 users in different geographical locations.

A suggestion has been made to install on SQL Server for cost savings.

Can anyone tel me some pros/cons regarding this. I don't know whether or not performance will suffer on SQL Server and would prefer to put the system on Oracle with a user base as large as that but I need to justify it.

Anyone have any good/bad experiences of putting a large ERP system on SQL Server please comment.

Likewise - if you can help with my justification for putting it on Oracle please comment.

    Thanks

    Suresh
Once you have eliminated all of the impossible,
    whatever remains however improbable,
    must be true.

    Is the software done?
If not on what it is running now?
