Restoring DB
I have Oracle 9i (Release 1) reinstalled on my computer. But the database I had before won't start! When I try to connect to it in Enterprise Manager Console it says "ORA-12500: TNS listener failed to start a dedicated server process" which is followed by a TNSLSNR.EXE process termination. I know that something should be done to reanimate my old DB. I even created a new (clean) DB to check wether it will work and it does.
Question: is there a way to restore DB (or at least data stored in it)?

Hi,
Also check if the all the previous entires in the listenera.ora file is same after installation. Else trying creating a new listener.ora file and trying connecting to the db.
