AFAIK there is no order in which you have to take the exams

    hmmn, I'm not so sure?

The first step toward earning the highly respected Oracle Certifed Professional (OCP) status is to earn your Oracle9i DBA Certified Associate (OCA) credential
However, I'm also sure that if you phone up prometric they're happy to take your money & book you in. I can't imagine prometric refusing to let you sit an exam because your doing them in the wrong order?

re: is there any specific order

As far as the exam goes, there is no specific order. it can be done any way you want. however the preferred route is

    SQL - (1Z0-007) + DB-Funda I (1Z0-031) = OCA
    OCA + DB-Fuuda II (1Z0-032) + P.T. (1Z0-033) = OCP :>

This is the route that i have taken. I have completed OCA and I'm now working towards OCP. I feel more confident now that I have the OCA and there's definately no pressure.

    Cheers.

As per oracle Web Site it seems that with 9i (if you passed your first exam after sept 2002) we need to purchase at least one Oracle Instructor Led Training:

"Instructor-led class requirement for candidates starting on the Oracle9i DBA Certified Professional credential exam path."

However as said onlysimon I can't imagine that if you call Prometric they will refuse to book an exam for you.
Could you let me know if one of you recently get the full OCP certification without following any Oracle ILT's? If so is there any problem with this??

    Thanks

Prometric won't refuse to book the exams. But Oracle will refuse to send the certificate until you pass them all and notify them after taking the course.
