    Running Stored Procedures from ACCESS

    Hi,

I want to create ACCESS reports from Oracle Database Stored Procedures. How can I do that?

    Thanks

If you can link the dba_source table to your Access database, then you can create a report in Access based on that linked table. I'm not sure what you are asking.

I can Link oracle tables to MS/ACCESS and run queries. But when you need to run a complex query on many tables it's better to create a stored procedure to run the query on Oracle Server and send back the results to MS/ACCESS.

I've been told that I can use REF CURSOR to do that and from Access I can use a pass through query to get the results back.

I tried to do that with no success so far, so any help would be greatly appreciated

You can also create links to views. So put your complicated queries into views, tuning the queries while you are at it. Then link the views with Access.
