Grid computing on Oracle Server?

Just wondering...
There are many servers in this world that contain multiple cpu's which are idle most of the time. Even if the db is working at optimal performance.
I think that's a waste of money.
On my laptop and desktop at home, I run Grid Computing software. These tools gather data from a server, compute difficult formula's and return the result to that original server. These projects are supported by millions of people all over the world. They are here to help to find a cure for diseases like cancer and aids. Even a special project to fight Anthrax was supported when Saddam was threatening the world with chemical warfare...
The important fact is that these tools only use cpu-time thats not being used at the moment. They don't burden the other applications running. If Oracle uses all cpu's to the fullest, these tools stop until there's cpu-time left by the system.
Does anybody use these clients on a Oracle server? Do you think it's wise to do so? I can understand that there's a certain risk, but watching multiple cpu's asleep while they could do some good is a pitty.
