Request for Updated Transaction from remote sites

    Hi All!
As in a Replication Context. There are two terms mainly used. Publisher and a Subscriber. Publisher where the transactions are generated and Subscribers where the information is replicated. Then we user another Terms liks PUSH AND PULL. Push Transactions mean the updates are send to the subscribers with out any request from them where as in PULL case, a request is made by the subscriber to send thme back the updates.
We can bulid the PUSH scenerio in Oreacle 9i. but i need to get the information about How we can perform the PULL Scenerio in Oracle 9i.

    Suggesyions?

The same way you do a PUSH. Do a PULL from the slave site.

I think it is quite simple, you have to setup a read-only snapshot replication, where the "Publisher" is the master site and "Subscriber" is read-only snapshot site. Request for refresh is always made from subscriber side which pulls the changed data from publisher.
