    management server authentication error

I Am trying to run a job in enterprise console and the job fails with the following error.
    VNI-2015: Authentication error.
I have read older post on this problem but they are mostly for win. My OS is linux. As i read i have the idea that i must create user for the OS. Is that true. The prefered credentials for the node and database are set to sys. the target database, repository database and management server are running on my local machine

Yes you will need to create a user (or use one you already have setup) and provided the details of that user to the host in the preferred credentials screen.
