    Removing ORACLE_HOME2

    All,

I just deinstalled my ORACLE_HOME2 (which was client 8i) with the Oracle Uninstaller on my Solaris machine.
Now I'ld like to put a client 9iR2 with name ORACLE_HOME2 (home1 is server 9iR1), but the OUI still changes to 8.1.7 when I select it. Can anyone tell me which files I should delete for him to completely forget about 8i?
In Windows, it's easy (registry), but I'm not yet very experienced on Sun...

    Thanks,

    Rik

    Hi

You also need to delete /var/opt/oracle directory..so that teh OUI does not pick up the wrong values..and give a try again

    regards
