    data gatherer

    Hi
    How do u start a data gatherer on a node(server) and check whether it is running. I am getting an error 'Java.net.CONNECTException:connection refused'

    Hi there!
    the commands are;

    vppcntl -start
    vppcntl -stop
    and
    vppcntl -status

    also check for the vppdc process plus the logfile is in $ORACLE_HOME\odg\logs

    Hi Bob, thanks for the posting. I tried this and I am getting another error like this. What can I do about this.

    spnode1:/> vppcntl -start
    The Oracle Data Gatherer is not running.
    spnode1:/> vppcntl -status
    The Oracle Data Gatherer is not running.
