some advice please..i'm just a student..
hello all,
here's my scenerio:
I have 5 database(5 instances?) total, running on 2 different machine on the same network, in different building. Actually that's how I have to set it up on the lab pc,but I haven't got the foggiest ideas as how create these instances and have it run all at once on the win2000 server. I'm assuming it can be done and not that difficult, but I really have no clue. any help will be helpful.
I need to be able to do the basic administrative task, such as data backup and such from these databases. The only tools I have to use is Oracle enterprise manager(OEM). I should be able to manage these databases at the same time with OEM?, and what is the best setup, i notice there are several options to setup OEM. Do I need to set this up as a client/server or with the management server(tier3). If anyone can take some time to explain this to me thoroughly, i greatly appreciated. I tried doing all the readings, but it just got me confused, because i have no real life experienced.
