    Installation of Oracle on Solaris

    Hi

I started installation on solaris for Oracle 8.1.7 and after running 'root.sh' as root , I terminated my installation for one unavoidable reason.

If I would like to start my installation again, what I have to do? As far I can remember we are suppose to delete few files from some directory. Shall we have to delete the user too and recreate the same?

    I will appreciate your help.

    Regards

    Hi Hrishy,

But as far I remember it will not ask me again to run root.sh. Is that right?

If it will not ask me to run root.sh again, will that be fine?

    Thanks

It will ask you to run root.sh again ... don't worry. Just delete all files created by OUI and start afresh.

Be inquisitive - look at what root.sh does. You can view/edit/cat/more the file.
