    sql tuning book opinion

    Has anybody read this book..is it worth buying it and reading it

    I have used oracle advanace tuning and thats pretty good... Really goes in depth about explaining how to read explain plan and finding the appropriate action

    Bedtime reading material? No. I save that honor for any book by Oracle Press. I read the book, doze off, it falls from hands onto my head, knocks me out for a good three to four hours. Put some padding on the corners, though. Those can cut you to the bone if you're not careful.
