    FRM-40509 :Oracle error :unable to update record

    Oracle Forms

    I'm very new to oracle forms

    This error message is displayed FRM-40509 :Oracle error :unable to update record
    whenever i make changes to the record and then update it.
    Can somebody tell me why and how to solve this ?

    FRM-40509 is a generic error to tell the user the form cannot upate the record, press 'Display Error' to get the actual Oracle error which caused it. This will help you solve the problem

    Hi Jovery

    Thank you ! Now i know what went wrong in my program. 'Display error' is a great help in tracing my error.I've got it fixed ! thanks once again

    RUN your FMX.

    In menu Help --> Disply Error
