IMP-0003, ORA-01435 Errors while importing

While trying to do user level import with following :

imp system/password@testdb file=test.dmp fromuser=test touser=test

am getting IMP-00017 and ORA-01435 Errors. The error says that user does not exists. Whereas the user 'test' does exists.

Any thoughts/pointers on this? Thanks.

Just did windows reboot and the above import ran fine without any errors. Just to let you all know.

Should be a problem of setting ORACLE_SID I guess

Thanks Nagarjuna. There was only one database instance on this machine. Does ORACLE_SID setting still matter in this case? I did the above steps number of times before but never had this problems. I happen to reboot the machine and it worked fine.

Oooooops.. my answer was wrong.. You have given perfect command for import with connect string attached. No idea as why this import failed before.
