On version 8.0.5 ,SVRMGR is issued by svrmgrl and not by svrmgr30.
See the following example (On Unix):
hp64 23: svrmgrl
Oracle Server Manager Release 3.0.5.0.0 - Production
(c) Copyright 1997, Oracle Corporation. All Rights Reserved.
Oracle8 Enterprise Edition Release 8.0.5.2.1 - Production
PL/SQL Release 8.0.5.2.0 - Production
SVRMGR> connect internal
Connected.
On your NT machine, try fisrst the command:
set oracle_sid = ;
and then : svrmgrl
send us the output of those commands.

Nir

He clearly stated his OS is Windows NT, and on NT there is no such thing as "svrmgrl" on 8.0.5 - command line Server Manager on that release is "svrmgr30".

Hi,
Thanks for immediate response
my observation :
1. I found from log/trace file that one of the data file stored in
another Hard disk, which is crashed. is there anyway to recover data as on date. all other datafile are safe in another hard disk.
2. why user internal is not connecting to server manager
error message : invalid username/password
if i use orapwd utility , can i able to connected to server ?
3. last option i hv some old back(user) can be useful.
Regards,
Ari.
