modifying a report

Hi,

I must bring modifications to an existing report, add fields in new pages, add new queries, new pages...etc, what is the best to do this ? means to ensure that I haven't corrupted the report...
I know that : turn confine mode off is very but I have many data and groups that will change the place in the report ( from page to page).!

Have a backup copy allways. Get to know the frames in order from the navigator,and the purpose it serves. also look for implicit anchors which is drawn by the wizard itself. if additional query is to be added use the add layout button to add another layout. theres no easy way other than this to do.
