Monitoring and Tuning Latch,Wait and Event

    Hi Experts

I would like to monitor and tune my Database Latch, Event and Waits. I would like to do the same from production database point of view.

Can anybody please help me with what type of monitoring script is required for the same?

What are the tables I have to look into?

When I have to monitor or tune those?

What kind of promlems I will face with these?

You can give me any reference document or thread. I will go thru that too.

I appreciate or time in advance

    Regards

    Hi Ggnanaraj,

    I really appreciate ur time.

But my observation is, in Oracle documentation it is not very much clear how to interpret statistics on Latch and wait and Event.

I am interested to know what role does latch play in database? When should I look into those Latches , events and Waits. And very much would like to know how to interpret statistics.

Is there any other tuning scripts or monitoring scripts available? Is there any other documents that help me to interpret their statistics?

    Regards
    sumit
