Connecting from different client ..

Hi,

I have downloaded and installed Oracle8i Enterprise edition ver 8.1.7.0.0.

Now I have to connect to the above installation either using Oracle client software version 8.1.6.3.1 or 8.1.6.2. My question is -

- is it possible to download the above mentioned client softwares?

- if so, is it possible to connect from such client to the above
database?

If you have downloaded Oracle 8i EE, client should be a part of it. Check that first. Else check out for free downloads from
http://otn.oracle.com

Well - I first looked in under downloads section --> Archives. The URL is - http://otn.oracle.com/software/produ...i/content.html

Unfortunately, I could not see the version that I am looking for. Where else can I look? Please let me know.
