Help me to debug this error message

    Hi Gurus,

When i click the sqlplusw.exe it is showing an error message
"Message SP1.msb not found". (lang is coming in between SP1 and .msb with less than ,greater than symbol)
Why this error is coming? It is not allowing me to enter into sqlplus. What steps to be taken to come out from this error? Thanks in advance.

    Rgds,

    Saravanan.

Make sure you $ORACLE_HOME is set correctly and $ORACLE_HOME/bin is included in your PATH

    Hi jo,

I checked my oracle_home and path. Both r having valid values. Still it is not working. But the service is started. I cannot start the listener service. If if type sqlplus with the username/password in the command prompt, it is just going to next line. What should i do? Pls help me to come out from this prob.

    Thank u.

This error also occurs when you do yet another installation of any oracle product into an previously existing oracle home.
