differences between SQLEngine and PLSQL engine

    hi all,
Do anybody have the differences between
    SQLEngine and PLSQL engine.

ie some statements which execute fine in sqlplus will not work inside a procedure or package.

What type of statements or any particular notes on the difference

The changes made since 8.1.6.2 to the SQL engine appear not to have been done in the PL/SQL engine. This includes analytical functions and the CASE statement. There may be others.
