Timelimit to upgrade OCP's
If Oracle says OCP 8i will retire by xxxx date does it mean one needs
to upgrade to 9i by xxxx date or one can take upgrade till the upgrade test is available.
Thanks

No, you may take the upgrade only if you wish to become 9i certfied. You will be forever 8i certified :-)

time limit for upgrade
OK. But is there a time limit to take upgrade test(8i to 9i), should it be taken before Oracle 8i is retired by Oracle. That was the question. Sorry for the miscommunication.

With about 10 seconds of searching, you can deduce the answer to your question starting at http://education.oracle.com.

No, usually after the old version retires the upgrade still remains (not forever though).
