ORA-01122: Database File 28 failed verification check

Following errors have been occured when I tried to restore the database from backup and recreate the controlfiles.

ORA-01122: Database File 28 failed verification check
    ORA-01110ata file 28:'G:\Oracle\Ora81\..dbf'
ORA-01207: File is more recent than controlfile - old controlfile

This is 8.1.6 database on NT.

I know why I'm getting this error because one of my datafile datafile 28 is not from the backup, it's from the recent data file. I was wondering if I can restore the database with one of file that's not from the backup data files.

Possible only if database is in archive log mode... (but then also the controlfile need to be the latest)

Not sure, are you trying to recover your datafiles or controlfile. If you do have controlfiles and archivelogs you can recover datafiles. See this message.

    $oerr ora 1207
01207, 00000, "file is more recent than controlfile - old controlfile"
// *Cause: The controlfile change sequence number in the data file is
// greater than the number in the controlfile. This implies that
// the wrong controlfile is being used. Note that repeatedly causing
// this error can make it stop happening without correcting the real
// problem. Every attempt to open the database will advance the
// controlfile change sequence number until it is great enough.
// *Action: Use the current controlfile or do backup controlfile recovery to
// make the controlfile current. Be sure to follow all restrictions
// on doing a backup controlfile recovery.

I do have backup of controlfiles but not archivelogs since it wasn't on Archivelog mode...so you are saying this database is corrupted? I can't use this anymore?

No you cannot, unless you have a earlier cold backup(of the complete database ie controlfiles and datafiles).
