    Arrow RAM size..

    As a rule what should be the minimum size of RAM? require to run the
    database size of > 30 GB? to get required performance?(oracle9i/win2k)

    a)Type of application

    b)Number of users

    c)Type of queries run by users

    d)MTS or non mts

    it is E-comm transaction, almost 5000 records per day by 30 customers..

    Hi

    You should start out with something like 2-4Gb ram machine and then simulate the scenario..by load runner or web runner and then use statspack..to look at the load profile..and then do the sizing
