    Can export of 817 Import to 815

    Hi all,

    I have Export dump of 8.1.7. Can I Import the 8.1.7 export dump into 8.1.5 database.

    you can if you exported from the 8.1.7 database using the 8.1.5 version of exp

    There are views in Oracle that allow an older version of Oracle to do an export. If you use new features you may have some issues moving the database to an older version and sometimes the views have bugs causing problems. If you are getting a specific error you need to check metalink and make sure that there aren't any bugs that would cause your error for your version of Oracle.
