Problem in retrieving blob from database

Hi All
can any one help me ,How I can write a procedure to retrieve a blob from a table and write to the O.S file.
by usng dbms+lob and utl_ pack file.
can any one give me the source code?Will be very usefull for me.

There is a known bug with the latter on Windows 2000. Not sure which patch contains the bug fix.

Hi

Upto 8i util_file can do only ascii files..i am not sure about 9i..if you are using 9i then probably you shoudl read the docs of 9i
