does ora8i for intel unix works on sco unix 5.0

This is my first query. I have been regularly reading the forums at dbasupport & find it quite impresive. I have a simple query.

I have Oracle 8i(8.1.5 & 8.1.6) server cd for Intel Unix(Sco UnixWare 7, DG Unix & Intel Solaris). Will it work on Sco Unix 5.0.

    Thank u.

8.1.7 is the terminal release for SCO. We're running Oracle on a SCO 5.5 server. I don't think you'll have any problem getting 8.1.7 to work on 5.0 .. but .. it's not directly supported .. and you're kinda painting yourself into a corner with SCO.

Take the Linux dive .. the water is warm.
