We have to give this office,Exp file of our some users.
Now a problem has arrived beacuse our exp file is not working on their system (I think this because of Our exp file is of latest version).
Can anyone plz tell me how i can exp the user in Oracle 9i so that it can imported in Oracle 8i.

If you still have the 8i client then use its exp to connect to 9i and export the data.

    Hi,

As you said that you have upgraded from oracle8i. That means you must be using oracle 8i client, i am not talking on the server, any machine which has oracle 8i client. You can use that oracle 8i exp utlity. If not then install the 8i client on any PC.

Or if you can connect from your remote office which has oracle 8i installed then you can do the export from there but that would be the last option.

This will work if you install 8i client in a separate home on the 9i machine and then run 8i exp.

    HTH.
