    Talking connecting 8i client with 9i server...

    Hi friends,
    Is it possible to access 9i database thru 8i client ??

    Yes. Oracle Net is backward compatible with Net8. You can use your 8i files (tnsnames.ora, etc) with the 9i database if you wanted to.
