    What is the maximum allowed value for Maxlogfiles

    It is written that Maxlogfiles can be from 1 to OS dependant
    How can I find out the max value...
    For example for Win XP or AIX 4.3 etc.

    I think the maximum value is 256, if there is an OS restriction it will be in the installtion guide for the platform.
