Exp/Imp Error
Good morning All:
Using Oracle 9i OMS, I exported from a oracle 8.1.7 database and am trying to import in a oracle 9i.
After I point the export file, and Oracle reads it, and after is be processed, an error occur, and a message saying "wrong oid format:appiName" .
Can someone say me what is happening and what have I to do to fix it??
Really thanks!

best way to do exp/imp, do it manually... don't use that stupid OMS.
Pros - you will learn somthing, as using OMS you learn nothing.
Cons - nothing.
and to answer your question
Stop and restart the Intelligent Agent. Then rediscover the node from the EM Console.

Thanks, adewri!
I agree with you, and personaly like to use manual exp/imp, and anything in my database I like to do with my own hands, ´cause I really thing that is better learn how to, instead to give to computer the rights to work by itself.
I ask, only to learn one more thing, and know the reason why it happens. Thanke by your counsel, and by your reply!!

From the metalink...
Cause: If SQL*Net configuration changes have been made on the target node without reloading the listener, bouncing the Agent, and refreshing service discovery in the OEM Console, this error will occur. Wrong OID format errors occur when the Intelligent Agent is unable to successfully connect to the database via a listener supplied connection.

while using manually exp/imp
Very basic things, but still feel like posting it.
