Sol'n for P4 XP Prof install prob

This is a solution i found, not a problem

I couldn't install ora 9.2 for windows on a compaq presario 3000, intel P4 2.4Ghz, 500Mb mem, XP Prof (upgraded from XP home). Installer would exit without error message.

I tried downloading updates to OUI, renaming syncjit.dll, trying different JVM, all the usual stuff, but nothing worked.

Solution was to drop the screen resolution to 800x600 -- install proceeded without a hitch.

I'm thinking it was a java/display adapter problem.
