Log in to Oracle Management Server

    Dear All,

Can somebody help me out, I was trying to log on to my PC which serves as the server to the oracle. I found out the password to the admin. is not working and I tried to change it through administrative tools and I was able to log in and start my Tomcat.

After I have done this I found that when I wanted to log on to the Oracle Management Server it was giving me this error:

VTK1000 - Unable to connect to the management server ik014d.mtn.com.ng Please verify that you have entered the correct host name and the status of the oracle management server

But if I log on as Standalone, I can log on succeesfully, and I do not want to log on as Standalone but as a Management Server.

    Please help me out.

    Thanks
    Bolaji

    Glad it was something simple

Do you have the preferred credentials set for the host? When a backup is started a seperate connection is made to the host so you have to setup a valid user (with the necessary privileges) and put these details in the prefered credentials.
