    9iAS on Linux


    I got some free time and decided to install 9iAS on a box running Linux RH8. Binutils installed is as follows:


    I checked that 9iAS is NOT certified for that configuration, only Suse and RH Advanced Server. Since it's just a test machine that runs already 9iDB I thought I could make it work there.

    My question is, certified or not, does it work? Is there some known limitation? For my purposes it may be enough.

    Yeah it works i have installed it..but very very painful experience installing..You need lots of ram..and CPU min 500M for the infra instance..You should also consider installing infra and middletier in separate boxes..
