    Standby Database

    Hi,
    After I configured primary and standby database

    1. Archive logs in the primary database autometically transferred to standby database

    2. Manually I applied all the cotents of archive logs to standby datafile using the command
    recover standby database;
    Everthing working properly.

    But when I am giving the command

    Recover managed standby database; ----It is hanging...And also it is not giving any error

    I welcome ur ideas to solve this problem

    That is normal behavior, when it hangs at this prompt the managed recovery process has started.

    Once the file has been added to the primary you simply need to add it to the standby. It's all explained here
