    Meaning of database users

    Hi

    Any one can ******** me that what is number of database users in a database license and how many sessions can be connected to a single database user simultaneously ?

    Did you check V$LICENSE, it gives all the needed information regarding the licensing. I don't think there is any limitation on the Number Of Sessions. The license is generally given at "User" Level. Correct me if I am wrong anywhere in my understanding.

    Depends on your license. A concurrent license counts number of currently connected users. A named user counts the number of people that might use the database but can be connected multiple times. A UPU doesn't care how many users, but does care how many cpus you have. The best bet is to contact your Oracle sales weenie and explain what you are trying to do.
