    Oaf

    Hi,
    config
    Oracle 8.1.5
    OS HPUX 11.0
    Storage SAN

I am having all the datafiles, logfiles, control files on one mount point.Do I have to reconfigure it as OFA ? If yes,how does it make difference on SAN.

    Thanks in Advance.

One mount point? Does that mean one LVM? If so, what's the point?

Yes, just one mount point and on one LVM(logical volume).
If the datafiles are distributed by raid or SAN do we need to follow OAF(create diff mount points on diff Volume groups).

It's pretty much a personal choice. Implementing OFA on a single mount point or SAN has no affect on performace, and therefore, has no benefit to performance.

I have RAID 5/SAN, does it affect performance if i have one mount point or more than one mount points.

If you have one RAID 5 LVM, then no multiple mount points do not affect performance.
