It is partly a DBA's work, yeah but mostly NOn DBA. BTW, did you know Database Architects are highet paid (better than DBA's) on Database Domain Experts?

BTW have you joined HCL Perot Systems or TCS?

    Cool

    Hi virajvk

Its better if you could get a list of your responsibilities from you organization and share with us. I am sure most of the people would be interested in exploring this field.

these r two famous companies that screw DBA's profile most often without even thinking what a DBA can do....specially in the name of a "Database Architect" anyway TCS has good job security and lots of oppors for abroad assignments

Speaking of experience if you achive to get the title of Database Architect then you will get such a high respect and 6 digit salary and nobody dare to ask what are you doing because you _Architect_ the business but don't get me wrong in a fresh new project this role is very demanding and critical.

    Any comments dudes?
