    Creating DB in 9i

    Could you please advise how to launch the create database in 9i?
    In 8i, its located in the BIN directory called DBASSIST.

    use DBCA in the same directory

    yes u can database migration wizard . it will try to migrate your 8i database to 9i database

    Please read his question carefully!! He was just asking about the name of binary to launch DBCA. Where from *migration* comes into the discussion?
