    SMON Error message

    Hi Guys,

    I have got an error message in my bdump. ANy idea what the message means?

    Instance name: livedb

    Redo thread mounted by this instance: 1
    Oracle process number: 6
    Unix process pid: 11111, image: oracle@livedb (SMON)

    The messages signal a transaction is recovered using parallel transaction recovery. They are only for information.

    There was a bug logged for this (1018621) as the messages should not be shown. It's fixed in 9i

    Hi jovery,

    Thanks for your help. BTW, i can't find the details on this bug 1018621. Is this the correct id number? Thanks

    Yep, it's the right error number but I don't think it's availaible on Metalink. This document explains the bug
